The Terrace Concert Society has been in existence in Terrace for 43 years; we are a non-profit society, administered by a handful of dedicated volunteers—your Board of Directors. Our mission is simple: to present any and all forms of high-quality performing arts to the Terrace community.
We have come a long way since the days when the three concerts a year were held in a school gymnasium! We now have the comfort of reserved seating in the wonderful REM Lee Theatre.
The Terrace Concert Society has managed to pick and present artists who are on the “uphill curve” of their success: they are either nominated for or have won Juno and/or other professional recognition/awards, and artists that we may not be able to afford and attract to tour the more rural/remote areas of BC in the future once they’ve hit the big-time. Many examples of winners come to mind, the most recent being; The Wailin’ Jennys, Denise Djokic, John Reischman & the Jaybirds, Nathaniel Dett Chorale and The Canadian Tenors.
In past seasons we’ve presented the award-winning talents of Joe Sealy, Carols del Junco (twice), JP Cormier, Swing Soniq, Judy Kang, Puentes Brothers, Peters Drury Trio, The Bill Hilly Band, Lennie Gallant, Zappacosta, The Wyrd Sisters, Arrogant Worms, Lorne Elliott and more!
Terrace has an excellent national reputation and we work earnestly and hard with our neighbouring communities to secure great performances for all our northwest communities.
